Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite helps bring together people and entrepreneurial ideas to create opportunities for a better world.
Entrepreneurs can instigate change in the social sector in same way that they do in the business world.” His approach is not unlike that applied to the market of flights and phones: “entrepreneurs,” he explains, “turn problems into opportunities.” In 2004, Sir Richard established Virgin Unite, a charitable arm of Virgin that draws upon the resources of the Group to establish projects and campaigns that empower budding social entrepreneurs and grassroots organizations.

In 2004 we founded the non-profit foundation Virgin Unite to unite people and entrepreneurial ideas to create opportunities for a better world. Since then, together with some great partners, we have inspired and incubated a number of wonderful collaborations – like The Elders, Ocean Unite, Carbon War Room, The B Team and The Branson Centre for Entrepreneurship – which have spurred much needed change in the world.
